Perry Meridian High School is pleased to announce the hiring of Coach Brett Cooper as the school’s new head football coach.  Coach Cooper was introduced to the Falcon community at Halftime of the Boys Basketball game tonight.

Cooper comes to Perry Meridian from Indian Creek High School, where he has been the head coach for the last three seasons.  At ICHS, Cooper’s teams won the school’s first Western Indiana Football Conference Championship in 2019 with an overall record of 21-12.  His 2019 team also finished the first quarter with a collective 3.22 team GPA.

Prior to Cooper’s experience at Indian Creek, he has served as an offensive coordinator for Massillon Washington High School (OH), LaSalle High School (OH), Princeton High School (OH), and Greenwood High School.  While at LaSalle winning the first Ohio State Championship in school history.  He also spent time in an assistant role at the University of Indianapolis and Warren Central High School.  Brett Cooper comes from a strong pedigree of football and excited to bring his former coach/father with him to Perry Meridian.

Cooper played at North Park University in Illinois after graduating from Glenbard South High School (IL).

We are excited to welcome Coach Cooper and his wife Colleen who is a PMHS graduate.  They are blessed to be the parents of Audrey and live on the southside of Indianapolis.  Cooper comes from a strong pedigree of football and excited to bring his former coach/father with him to Perry Meridian.
