Holli Hyche Returns to Inspire the Next Generation of Falcons We are thrilled to welcome back one of Perry Meridian High School’s most celebrated alumni, Holli Hyche, whose remarkable journey from a standout high school athlete to a collegiate track legend has left an indelible mark on the world of athletics. Her story is one of grit, determination, and extraordinary talent—qualities that continue to inspire our current student-athletes. Holli’s track career at Perry Meridian is the stuff of legends. From the moment she stepped onto the track, it was clear she was destined for greatness. As a key member of the 1988 State Championship team, she showcased her speed and competitive spirit, setting records that would place her among the elite in Indiana high school track history. Her blistering times in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes from that year still rank among the top 10 fastest in Indiana state finals history. In 1989, Holli made a triumphant return to the state finals, competing in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter events. Her performances that year remain some of the quickest ever recorded, with all three races still ranking in the top 11 fastest times in IHSAA history. But Holli’s accomplishments did not end with her high school career. Her drive and passion carried her to Indiana State University, where she made an immediate impact on the national stage. Over her collegiate career, Holli won an incredible 7 NCAA Division I championships in the 100-meter and 200-meter sprints, a feat that solidified her status as one of the greatest sprinters in NCAA history. Her dominance on the track earned her multiple All-American honors and a lasting legacy, with several of her records still unbroken to this day. Holli’s achievements were recognized with her induction into the Indiana State University Hall of Fame, a testament to her outstanding contributions to the sport. Now, Holli Hyche returns to Perry Meridian, not just as a legendary athlete but as a beacon of inspiration for our current Falcons. Her story is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through hard work, dedication, and an unwavering belief in one’s abilities. We are honored to have her back to share her experiences from a lifetime journey from"trash to treasure" and the lessons she’s learned along the way. She left the Falcons with the belief that turning negatives into positives allows for a belief that "I can do anything." Holli’s visit is a celebration of her legacy and a moment for our student-athletes to see firsthand the impact that a commitment to excellence can have, both on and off the track. Welcome home, Holli Hyche—your Falcon family is proud to have you back. Once a Falcon, Always a Falcon!
