--Boys Basketball was tripped up in the season opener at Southport but was running on full throttle at Shortridge on Saturday.  The Falcons won 84-73; the highest-scoring Falcon performance in five years.  Bryce Mathis led the Falcons with 25 points (14-16 from the free throw line) and Braydon Holt (!4 points) and Sterlin Lewis (19 points) both went 4-for-5 from behind the arc.   --Girls Basketball continues to search for the winning combination.  Ally Raymer led the Falcons against Southport with 11 points.  Mariah Thomas continues to clean the boards averaging 7 per game and Aubrey Hall dishing out the rock with 4 assists at Southport.  The Falcons battled the Grizzly Cubs at home on Saturday.  Falling short on the scoreboard didn't deter the giving for Heather Voice and the Heather Norris Memorial Scholarship, raising over $1,000. --Girls Wrestling defeated Harrison West Lafayette before the Turkey and then took to the Gobbler for desert last week.  Aniah Delgado defeated the field to finish at the top of the podium along with other top 5 finishes; Hailey Schoettle (4th), Thomia Williams (2nd), and Kate McKee (3rd). --Girls Swimming and Diving brought home a 122-50 victory over the Warren Central Warriors with 8 Falcon event winners; Auria Knight (200 IM & 100 Back), Elaine Means (Dive), Lila Nierman (200 Free), Gillian Revard (500 Free & 100 Breast), Avery Richey (100 Free) and Caroline Smothers (50 Free). --The Boys Swimming and Diving team also defeated Warren Central (130-49) to open the season.  Similar to the girls, the boys won 8 events; Nik Bauerle (100 Butterfly), Hollan Cathcart (Dive), Carter Fuhrmann (200 IM), Mason Jessie (100 Breast), Owen Shreve (200 Free & 100 Back), Drew Skeens (500 Free), and Gage Stiemert (50 Free).   --Boys Wrestling fell to Harrison West Lafayette in the only varsity match of the week.  The Falcons look to bounce back at home against Franklin Community this week.
