--Swimming and Diving made a splash last week. The girl's team was victorious over a strong New Palestine team. The Falcons had 6 event winners for the girls (Thali Gumiran 200 IM & 100 Back, Auria Knight 100 Free & 100 Breast, Lila Nierman 50 Free, and Gillian Revard 100 Fly) and 5 event winners for the boys (Hollan Cathcart Dive, Carter Fuhrmann 200 Free & 100 Back, Drew Skeens 500 Free, and Gage Stiemert 50 Free). Both teams followed the dual meet with a commanding victory of the Cardinal Classic at Southport. --Boys Basketball bounced back Friday after losing the lead against Beech Grove earlier in the week. Right out of the gate, the Falcons came out strong against Mooresville behind Bryce Mathis' 15 first-quarter points, finishing with 32 for the contest. It was a team effort with thirteen made 3's in the 67-51 victory. --Girls Wrestling took on another top-5 state ranked opponent last week; Franklin Community. The Falcons continue to not back down and came within one match of a upset, losing 34-36. Aniah Delgado, Bella Ramirez, Thomia Williams, Valeria Velez, Bella Osterhoudt, and Alexia Bradley scoring for the Falcons. The team will compete in the first official Conference Championship on Monday night. --Boys Wrestling found the winning combination against Columbus North last week, winning 44-27. Peyton Brummitt, Covyn Shelton, Sean Murphy, Dylan Merilus, Anthony Quarles, Seer Godwise, Eli Addington, and KL Abegneco scored for the Falcons in the match. --Girls Basketball fell to the Hornets of Beech Grove and Pioneers of Mooresville last week. The team continues to improve and competes for 32 minutes. Senior Mariah Thomas leads the Falcons on the court as the Falcons enter the County tournament this week.
