Recap week of December 9th

--Boys Wrestling hosted the Falcon Duals and used the home-mat advantage to win 3 duals over Evansville North, Carmel, and Tipton. It was a full week of K through 12 wrestling as the program turned around and ran a large invitational on Sunday giving hundreds of youth wrestlers the opportunity to compete. --Girls Wrestling competed in the Mid-State Championship finishing 4th behind the three state-ranked fellow Conference teams. Sophomore Aniah Delgado earned All-Conference honors winning the 100 pound weight class. Finishing as runner-up were Bella Osterhoudt, Kate McKee, and Lydia Kawaleh. --Swimming and Diving continues to make a splash in the pool with wins over Greenwood girls and Brebeuf boys along with a double victory against the Artesians from Martinsville this past week. Against Martinsville, Ella Lawrence earned athlete of the meet with lifetime bests in the 50 backstroke leg of the relay and a season best in the 200 free along with Damian Davis swimming lifetime bests in three events; 50 Backstroke leg in relay, 100 Backstroke, and the 200 freestyle. Thali Gumiran and Carter Fuhrman earned athlete of the meet against Greenwood and Brebeuf. Thali and Carter won the 100 Backstroke against both opposing schools along with other top finishes in other events. --Girls Basketball travelled to Warren Central to compete in the Marion County Tournament; falling to the Warriors. --Boys Basketball dropped two home games this past week. The Falcons made a run at INdy Metro and Whiteland but the scoreboard did not end in our favor. Bryce Mathis is leading the team in scoring with 28 vs. Whiteland and 16 in the game against Indy Metro.
