The annual Battle of the Birds - Basketball Edition took place at Perry Meridian High School on November 25, 2025. In front of a full gym, recent Falcon alumni were honored for their individual achievements while wearing the blue and silver. Reaching the highest level of achievement takes discipline, grit, and an unshakable work ethic. The alumni honored lived those values every day they wore the navy and Columbia blue. Their careers were nothing short of extraordinary, and we proudly recognize them as the newest members of the Perry Meridian High School Wall of Fame. Philip Kegbeh – Class of 2022 Defenders rarely see their names in highlight reels, but Philip didn’t need statistics to make an impact. A four-year starter and the anchor of the Falcon back line, he was the kind of player opposing coaches had to game-plan around. His relentless competitiveness and heart for Perry Meridian earned him All-District and All-State honors—and now, a permanent place on our Wall of Fame. Toby Billerman – Class of 2023 Toby simply knew how to win. A three-time Conference Champion, two-time Sectional Champion, and a name etched across the podium at the Regional, Semi-State, and County levels, Toby reached the mountaintop twice—advancing to the State Finals and placing 3rd before returning to become State Runner-Up. He continues his wrestling career at the University of Indianapolis. Sophia Mayo – Class of 2024 One of the most dominant hitters to ever come through our gym. A three-time All-Marion County and All-Conference performer, Sophia crushed the 1,000-kill milestone as a Falcon. She represented Perry Meridian as an IHSVCA Junior All-Star and earned All-State honors, securing her place on the Wall of Fame. Sophia is now continuing her volleyball career at Indiana State University. Cung Dawt Thawng – Class of 2025 A true field general from the back line, his teammates knew him as Thawng P. He led with poise, confidence, and a maturity beyond his years. His teammates honored him as a three-year captain, and his opposing coaches recognized him with All-Conference, All-District, and All-State honors. He now plays at Indiana Wesleyan University, and we proudly add his name to our Wall of Fame. Byron Hon (Hahn)– Class of 2025 A dynamic two-way standout, Byron played bigger than anyone on the field. As a lockdown corner and explosive playmaking receiver, he wreaked havoc on both sides of the ball. Byron earned North-South All-Star honors—the first Falcon to do so since 2016. He is now continuing his football journey at Wabash College, and we honor him as one of our newest Wall of Fame inductees. Honored in Absence – Isaiah Needam – Class of 2025 A remarkable two-sport talent, Isaiah was a Region All-Star in football and a Sectional and Conference Champion in the long jump. As a senior, he soared all the way to the State Finals, finishing 4th to secure his place on the Wall of Fame. He is currently playing football at Purdue University, making an impact on special teams. Falcon family, please join us in congratulating these outstanding alumni. They have left a legacy that will inspire generations of Falcons to come.
